I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to play three Varsity sports at Chapin (Swim, Tennis and Track). Playing a Varsity sport each trimester helps me stay in shape for golf season. More importantly though, it allows me to make close friends in other grades, cheer on and motivate my teammates and practice my time management skills.  Below are a few snapshots of each sport.

Varsity Swim

I am in Lane 1 swimming the 50 free.

I absolutely love my swim teammates and coaches. I most often swim the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 yard breaststroke as well as relay races. Although swimming and golf are inherently different sports, swimming helps build my mental toughness and being a part of this team is critical to my staying motivated and happy during the winter months.

Varsity Tennis

Tennis runs in my family. My grandfather was a professional tennis player and my dad played in college. I enjoy playing during the summers and for Chapin. In 8th grade, I started at 1st Doubles and Freshman Year, I played 3rd Singles.

Varsity Track

Track was a fun challenge for me in 8th and 9th grade. While I didn't think I had a love for running, it was a great opportunity to build my endurance and meet new people. I typically ran short distances (50m and 100m). When Chapin created a Golf Club, I opted to drop track to participate in golf.
